This policy explains in plain language how FutureEdge handles personal information collected through this website and our communications.
What we collect
When you join the FutureEdge priority list or contact us, we may collect information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, whether you are a student, parent, educator or other interested person, a student year level, and any question or message you submit.
Why we collect it
We use this information to respond to enquiries, manage the FutureEdge priority list, send relevant updates about dates, contributors, resources and access, improve the FutureEdge offering, and administer future sessions or resources you choose to participate in.
Students and young people
FutureEdge is designed for senior secondary students as well as parents and educators. We aim to collect only the information reasonably needed for the purpose described at the point of collection. If you are under 15, please ask a parent or carer to submit the priority-list form on your behalf. Older students may still choose to have a parent or carer contact us for them.
How information is collected and held
Information is generally collected directly from you through this website or by email. The website is hosted by Vercel and the priority-list form uses FormSubmit to deliver submissions to FutureEdge’s email environment. We may also use ordinary business service providers for hosting, email and data storage. Those providers may process information on infrastructure located outside Australia.
How we use and disclose information
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information to service providers where reasonably necessary to operate the website, deliver communications, administer FutureEdge activities, or meet legal obligations. We do not use the current website to run third-party advertising trackers.
Access, correction and deletion
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, ask to be removed from the priority list, or ask us to delete information we no longer need by emailing hello@myfutureedge.com.
Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We retain information only for as long as reasonably required for the purposes described above or as required by law.

Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as FutureEdge develops, including when registrations, payments or additional services are introduced. The latest version will be published on this page.
